So, had a moment of this a little while ago. My partner and I were discussing bands and people who have died. We both discussed how we were sure the singer Meatloaf had died. We looked it up to discover that he was in fact still alive, yet we were both sure we had heard about his death. Weird... Anyone else? Anything else?

I think perhaps because it was brought up how bad a performance was maybe and and the consensus was that there is a Time to stop singing like the time I heard Eddie Money. I may have filed them as “gone” when it was in fact their voice.
I was shocked to hear that he had died recently, as I was certain that he had died many years ago. It seems I'm not the only one. Does anyone else remember how they thought he died? For me it feels inappropriate to repeat given the circumstances, but was similar to Bon Scott.
Yeah. I just read this too! Strange to come across it now (that he’s died and all)
well this feels prophetic!
i think the problem with meatloaf is that he hasnt been in the media much in years and, well... from watching clips of him from his hay day seems like someone who probably would be deceased.
ive had a couple of occasions in my life that years later reading about this effect made so much sense, but i cant think of them atm. this has always intrigued me. i deep dived into after i read about it and its certainly weird.
